Using email

Every student has a College email account.  It’s called World Client and it’s free for you to use.  Open Internet Explorer on any college machine and follow the link to Student email.   Put in your Student ID as your username and your date of birth as your password.  Couldn’t be simpler, and you can use it from home too by going to www.tlcintra.net and following the link as before.  We make every effort to ensure that electronically processed personal data is not transferred to those countries outside the European Economic Area, which do not have adequate levels of data protection.

If you’re used to using one of the web-based email accounts such as Yahoo, you can use the college computers to access your account.  You should be aware that e-mail providers outside the European Economic Area, such as Yahoo or Hotmail, cannot guarantee adequate levels of data protection.

Are there any rules I have to follow?

Yes, there are rules that you must follow when using any of the college’s computers.  They are set out in our Internet Usage Policy which you’ll find displayed near the computers in the Library and in all our computer classrooms.  Please make sure you read it.
