The VITAL site does not gather any information about you, your computer, or your web-surfing habits.
The site does not store any cookies on your computer.
The site does not send any information to us, or anyone else, without your knowledge.
We will never barter, sell or give away your personal information to anyone. This commitment does not, however, prejudice our legal obligations to provide information to the Learning and Skills Council or other lawful authorities.
The site will not install or attempt to install any tracking, advertising or other software on your computer.
The site will not run any scripts which attempt to change any settings on your computer. Such scripts as do run from this site are used to customise the site, not to alter your computer.
This site may contain links to other web sites and files. Although we review each site we have no control over the content of these sites and can not ensure they will not be offensive or objectionable, nor can we ensure them to be truthful. We will, however, remove links to material that we feel is inappropriate as we become aware of them. Please also note that our Privacy Policy does not apply to other sites which may be linked from ours.
We make every effort to ensure that the site will not pass any viruses, spyware, adware or other malicious objects to your computer. However, responsibility for protecting your computer from such objects rests with you, and we can accept no liability for any problems, however caused.
Exceptions:
The counter on the opening page of VITAL gathers such information as your computer's operating system, monitor resolution, and screen size. None of this information can be traced back to you or your computer. We do not use it to track individual users, but to build a general picture of how our visitors view our site in order to improve our service.
